What We Do
Enable East takes great pride in what it does. We are continuing to build upon our sound and reliable reputation for effective delivery supporting our customers in driving forward change initiatives.
Undertaking a range of exciting customer commissions Enable East delivers experienced and proven resources to assignments from our expanding portfolio of programme managers, project managers and specialist advisers, many of whom are Enable East associates, with a wealth of public sector experience and proven track records.
The role of an Enable East Associate is both a challenging and rewarding one, carrying high levels of public accountability. Our Associates are selected by us with care and not only provide us with evidence of their previous work and positive references but also demonstrate, through attending a day long assessment centre, alignment to a set of competencies, values and behaviours that we have designed specifically for Enable East.
We believe the most effective Enable East Associates are motivated and driven by wanting to make improvements actually happen.
Working for Enable East
When engaged by Enable East on an assignment our Associates work directly for Enable East who ‘own’ the commission from the customer. We use a simple subcontracting arrangement for the Associate, who engage with us directly. Enable East has arrangements in place to support our associates with an informative Associates Handbook, an established Associates network and a Programme and Project Management Operating Framework. If required, this all provides assurance that the highest standards are being met for both our customer and Enable East and that the associate is part of a wider collaborative team.
The Recruitment Process for Associates
No matter what Associate role you hope to engage in with Enable East the starting point is completion of a detailed application form and supplying your CV. This will be reviewed by members of the Enable East Senior Manager Team and, if approved you, will be invited along to an Enable East assessment centre.
We believe assessment centres to be the most accurate and fairest means of recruiting Enable East Associates. Based on the NHS Leadership Competency Framework and the competencies, behaviours and values we believe make a great Enable East Associate, our assessment centres allow us to hand pick the right people to join us.
All potential Associates are provided with feedback from our assessment centres and if successful all references are then followed up with resulting positive feedback enabling us to add your details to Enable East’s database of Associates in readiness for an assignment from us.
We do not charge a subscription fee to be an Enable East Associate, however, do expect our Associates to attend any customer requested interviews and quarterly Enable East Associate Information Sessions free of charge.

"Enable East has given consideration to whether the Agency Worker Regulations apply to our services to customers. However, we believe the Regulations are clearly not intended to apply to contracting and/or sub-contracting of project and programme management services of the type undertaken by Enable East. The Government's guidance on the Regulations is clear that they do not apply to arrangements in which the relationship between parties is that of client or customer of a profession or business undertaking, which we believe is the relationship between our clients and Enable East and its Associates."
