Wendy Toomey

Originally from a social work background Wendy started her management career specialising in sensory impairment. Over the years Wendy’s senior public sector management portfolio developed to include all mainstream disability services and services for older people.She has extensive knowledge of leading adult and older people’s social care services to improved service quality, safety, compliance and performance standards. Wendy is renowned and respected for her successful partnership working.

More recently Wendy has applied her extensive experience of designing, organising and implementing process change, to integrated service delivery at the critical interface of Children’s and Adult Services.As a qualified Prince2 Practitioner she has provided both project and programme management to Enable East. Developing and supporting local and regional initiatives for Transition such as joint partnership working, person centred processes, personalisation, post 16 opportunities and multi agency assessment tools.

Wendy is also the author of the Eastern Regional Policy Guidance for Transition: ‘Making it Happen’.
