PRINCE2® has grown in popularity during the last decade to become the method of choice for many organizations in both the public and private sector in the UK and internationally.

We provide both Foundation and Practitioner level PRINCE2® training.

Training is provided by Insights - an Accredited Training Organisation.


PRINCE2®: 2012 Foundation and Practitioner Course

The PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Course is aimed at those who need a controlled approach to managing projects, a better understanding of the lifecycle of projects and at those pursuing the PRINCE2® Practitioner Level qualification. The course will focus on providing delegates with a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2® method including processes, components and techniques central to running a project using the PRINCE2® method.

Examination Technique

Prerequisites

Project Management experience and experience working in project teams. Some pre-read material is provided prior to the event, which is expected to be fully read and studied before attending the course. The Foundation exam must have been passed if attending the final two days of the course.


The Examination

The PRINCE2® Foundation examination is a 75 multiple choice question paper to be completed in one hour with a pass mark of 50%. This is sat on Day 3 of the course.

The PRINCE2® Practitioner examination is a 2.5 hour multiple choice objective test examination consisting of nine questions based on a given scenario. Each question is worth 12 marks (108 marks in total) and tests your knowledge in terms of application of the methodology to the scenario and in general. The pass mark for the exam is 55% (59 marks). The exam is on Day 5 of the course.

Please note that the APM require every candidate's identification to be verified by the examination invigilator. You may be required to produce some photographic identification before being allowed to take the exam.

PRINCE2®: 2012 Foundation Course

The PRINCE2® Foundation Course covers the whole of the syllabus of PRINCE2® Foundation Level and prepares participants for the PRINCE2® Foundation examination. The course is accredited through OGC (formerly CCTA) and is based on the 2009 version of the PRINCE2® manual.

Prerequisites

It is desirable but not essential that participants have some experience of working on projects.

Some pre-read material is provided prior to the event and is expected to be fully read beforeattending the course.

The PRINCE2® Practitioner Course prepares participants for the PRINCE2® Practitioners examination. Attention will be given to practical participation in a case study encompassing the most essential elements of a PRINCE2® project. Participants will explore the relationship between the Business Case and the project and develop specific PRINCE2® products during the course. The final day of the course will include the Practitioners examination. Some pre-workshop study is expected of the candidates' prior to attending the course. The course is accredited through OGC (formerly CCTA) and based on the 2009 version of the PRINCE2® manual.
