MSP™ provides a framework in which these necessary elements are identified and managed, by ensuring that an agreed vision of the outcomes from the programme is communicated then required capability is developed to enable those outcomes. Followed by a transitional change in business operations, resulting in realised measurable improvements.

We provide both Foundation and Practitioner level MSP training.

MSP™ Foundation Course

For: Programme Managers & members of Programme Management Board

With: Responsibility for management of programmes

Duration: Three days

Cost: £650

Delegates will gain sufficient knowledge and experience in the processes and principles of Programme Management (MSP) to act as a Programme Manager for a programme with a coherent project portfolio or to act as a member of a Programme Support Office. You will have an opportunity to sit the APMG MSPTM Foundation exam and to prepare for the Practitioner & Practitioner Advanced exams.

Educational Objectives

Following the completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Describe and apply all facets of the programme processes, in accordance with the MSP method
  • Set up and manage complex programmes
  • Identify and control risk
  • Monitor the objectives of a programme and the essential adjustments needed to respond to changes in the environment

The Examination

The MSP™ Foundation examination is a 40 minute 50 multiple choice question paper. Managing Successful Programmes describes the framework and strategies of Programme Management. Programme Management is an integral part of OGC's Best Practice portfolio.

MSP™ Practitioner Course

For: Programme Managers & members of Programme Management Board

With: Responsibility for management of programmes

Duration: Two days

Cost: £500

Delegates will consolidate and add to the knowledge and experience gained in the MSP Foundation course (attendance at which is a mandatory pre-requisite) to take you to the level required for the APMG Programme Management (MSPTM) Practitioner certificate exams.

The Examination

The Practitioner examination is a closed book objective test examination based on a given scenario and lasting 150 minutes. There are 9 questions each worth 20 marks, making a total of 180 marks. The pass mark is 50%. Managing Successful Programmes describes the framework and strategies of Programme Management. Programme Management is an integral part of OGC's Best Practice portfolio.

  • £650 Foundation level only (3 days)
  • £500 Practitioner only (2 days)
  • £1,075 for both Foundation and Practitioner (5 days)
