Barry Day

Barry is a highly effective Executive Director working at Board and Committee level, including Interim and Acting CEO as well as being an experienced Senior Executive working across the Statutory, Independent and Voluntary sector in support and delivery of national policy.

He is a skilled negotiator with a keen political awareness and with a belief that service users receive the best care from a multiplicity of providers working together. As a strong strategic leader Barry can bring about change in complex circumstances and is able deliver strategies through others supported by strong and well developed programme management skills.

 As a strong “hands on” manager who can shape the agenda and the future for the organisation, he believes he can gain sign up for the future and deliver on imperatives. He is also an individual with a strong commitment to Public Accountability who behaves with transparency and integrity.

 Barry is a strong strategic leader, able to lead system reform, service re-design and modernisation through others ensuring service users remain at the heart of service delivery. As well as this he is a senior executive with background in leading multi-agency commissioning arrangements and delivering integrated care pathways and systems.
